who am I?

Jules is a poet and artist from rural Manitoba on Treaty 1 Territory. She self-published her debut poetry collection, atrophy, at 16. Her poetry delves into themes of trauma, feminism, the body, and their intersections. Her second collection, self portraits of a girl collapsing violently inward, was released in Spring 2024. Her work has been featured in Prairie Fire, Wandering Autumn Magazine and Poetry in Voice, and has garnered millions of views on social media. In 2024, 2025, and 2026, she competed at the Canadian Individual Poetry Slam, making it to the final stage each time.  She was recently featured at the Toronto Poetry Festival. She has experience running workshops and readings for all ages.

When she's not writing or performing, Jules spends her time managing a local coffee shop and cuddling her cats.
